We make our dog food (for three big dogs, two labs and a boxer), it is: 4 pounds ground turkey or beef, boiled, then add 10 cups of rice and 2 cups of powdered milk with 4 pounds of either broccoli or spinach. It costs a LOT less than the grain free dog foods, and they love it! Daisy, our boxer, leaps, spins and twirls while we put her dish in front of her.

I switched my cats to it about 4 years ago, but I know they make it for dogs also. My local feed store sells it, but it can also be ordered online.

Just checked the bag and it is Royal Canin, not Hill’s, vegetarian grain free veterinary diet. I think you can only get it from a vet and it’s about $60 a bag. I hope you nod something that works for Charley!

We used to do Taste of the Wild, which they loved but switched in the last year to Earthborn Holistic. It is made locally (in Indiana) and was comparable in price so we decided to give it a try. I’d recommend either of them.
